Phantasy Star Valor - Interest Check
Premise
Phantasy Star Valor is a a role play based on the long-runner classic RPG series by Sega - in particular, though not solely, the latest entry, Phantasy Star Online 2. As is common in Valor campaigns, the game will use an OC cast and variation of the setting, though many traditional elements will remain.
If you don't know Phantasy Star, especially the newest entries, a not-invalid comparison would be Interplanetary RWBY - over-the-top combat action in unrealistic space, powered by Photons to empower both defense and offense.
Players will take the roles of the members of a new forward-operations team of the galactic defense force, VALOR - Variable Assault Logistics, Operations and Reconnaissance. (The GM is open to reworking the acronym in spite of how long he already spent on it.) Based on one of the hundreds of ships of The Earthborne Fleet, you will proceed to help protect the galaxy from the vicious Falspawn... And other threats besides.
Expect the tone to often (but not always) be somewhat less than serious - your team will have plenty of downtime, and crossover and reference events are a thing that can happen. Chaos is just part of the fun, even as you get closer to the truth of this world.

If you are potentially interested in playing in this game as things start to flesh out, please either comment here or contact me on Discord or Plurk, particularly with initial questions and thoughts as I begin to flesh out the setting.
Please ensure I have the following information:
- The kind of schedule you can work with as to when sessions would be
- Character concept roughs, if you have any as yet
- Setting questions you want me to answer early on to help with character concepting
- Phantasy Star elements you particularly would like to keep or avoid from the classic quadrology, PSO1, or PSO2. (I do not know Universe/Portable nor Zero as well so expect less of that just by default, but if there's something from them you especially want, let me know!)

I'm still not THAT consistent, but given that this is likely a ways out I can gamble. Right now my only hard no evenings are Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. I have more control over my work schedule than before, so I can prioritize whatever other day I like to have off (especially evenings), and this even includes middles-of-days.
Character concept roughs
An experienced or otherwise veteran operative that was involved in an incident that completely wiped out the rest of his team. While recovering, he studied Techniques, tactics, and field medicine in order to not be completely useless, and became good friends with one of the members on staff that assisted his rehab.
Setting questions?
- If there are CASTs, how old are CASTs? I am aware my character concept is fairly likely to be compatible with Being A CAST, so this is a valid question.
I might edit this later with more questions.
